One memory that makes me smile is that when we were late teenagers, my parents put a sheet of paper with a pen just inside the door in the evening so that we could sign ourselves in after a night out - and the last person knew they had to lock the door [These were the days you did not automatically lock the front door the whole time!] My sister would always fill out our names as coming in at about 4am in order to try to get us into trouble with mum. I don't suppose she would have ever fooled anyone and it's quite silly really but it makes me smile remembering it.
